The victim, Alexandra Ayala, was hit by a car at S. E. 89th near Shields. Surveillance cameras show that the driver of the car just went on after hitting the girl. Now, the mother of the victim, Angela Jackson wants the driver to come forward. "Just the fact that she was left in the street like an animal, you know," she said. "You will never know what you took from us. We will never have her to get those wet kisses, those sweet hugs," Jackson said. "I think that's the hardest part right now, just knowing that she's gonna be gone, but I know that she is in a better place," said Alyssa Williams, Ayala's older sister. Now, she's an angel in heaven," Jackson exclaimed. Since on the day Ayala died, it is told that she left in the middle of the night while Mrs. Jackson hold's no ill will for the driver. That is when police say Ayala was hit, then the driver kept going. “Just the fact that she was left in the street like an animal, you know," said Angela Jackson, Ayala's mother. Ayala had down syndrome. She left in the middle of the night, while her mother was sleeping. In their pain, Ayala’s family has a message for the driver. “You will never know what you took from us.
