It’s just that they didn’t have much when it came to acceleration at lower rpm, so for the 2004–2009 models (designated AP2), the 153 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm was increased to 162 lb-ft at more conservative 6,500 rpm (at 3,500 rpm, torque was... the punch came at about 6,000 rpm, when Honda’s two-stage valve timing system (VTEC) switched between its two sets of exhaust and intake cams. 2006 Acura RSX, 2006-2007 Honda S2000 Recalled For Brake Defect - The Car Connection

According to the NHTSA bulletin, the issue is that the brake booster may not be able to maintain a vacuum when the brake pedal is depressed, thus decreasing brake assist. A notice on the Honda website attributes the problem to a manufacturing error in the power brake system components allowing them to be produced outside of specification. The automaker said that this condition could potentially cause decreased brake assistance over time, thus increasing crash risk. What Honda will do. Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles and dealers will inspect the brake booster assembly, replacing it as necessary. The Honda safety recall campaign is JA4. Acura’s is JA5.
