Following the reconnaissance run on Thursday, both Gill, the 2013 APRC champion, who trails teammate Tidemand of Sweden by 34 points, described the 14 Special Stages, totalling 226. 56 km that will be run over two days, as "tough and extremely... It is going to be hard on the cars, but hopefully, we will come through," said 33-year old Delhi-based Gill, who will be partnered by his long-time co-driver Glenn Macneall from Australia. Echoing Gill's views, 24-year-old Tidemand, who is coming off a second-place finish in World Rally Championship-2 in Finland a fortnight back, felt that as much as the track, the weather conditions could also be a major hurdle. At the half-way mark in the championship, Tidemand heads the standings after wins in New Zealand and Australia and a second place finish behind Gill in the season-opener in New Caledonia. Should I rebuild or replace the starter on my Honda S2000? - The Globe and Mail

I have a 2005 Honda S2000 with a sticking plunger on the starter. I plan to keep the car for five more years and it has 120,000 km on the clock. For such a sweet ride I’d spring for a replacement – with a warranty. WARRANTY WOES. I bought my Forester new in 2010, and bought the best warranty package and was assured that everything was covered. Now I find out that, even though I am well within the time/mileage limits, they will not cover the catalytic converter. In the United States, there is required catalytic coverage on all cars. The catalytic converter is covered by the federal emissions warranty for 96 months or 130,000 km, whichever comes first. If you have exceeded that mileage, that warranty would no longer be in effect. I suspect there may be three warranties in play here: 1. ) That federal emissions one. ) The factory warranty which covers the drivetrain and other parts for three years or 60,000 km. Chances are you have exceeded this one. ) An extended warranty purchased from the dealer. While a money-maker for the dealer, the fine print may reveal why this insurance provider and dealer are denying coverage. Source: www.theglobeandmail.com
