For medium- and high-roof 2016 Ford Transit vans, dual sliding side cargo doors are now available, bringing the total number of different Transit configurations up to 58, up from 47 for the 2015 model year. In addition, four additional colors are added to the Transit’s palette, now including Shadow Black, Caribou Brown, Magnetic Gray, and Race Red. For Transit Connect models, a perimeter alarm is now available at no additional cost. The Transit Connect Wagon and XLT now have optional 17-inch alloy wheels. For 2016, Ford added a few revisions to the powertrain features and options for the Transit. Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 205,000 2010-2013 Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS and Ford Police Interceptor sedans due to an issue with the spring that controls the interior door handles. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition. Affected vehicles include certain 2010-2013 Ford Taurus vehicles built Dec. certain 2010-2013 Lincoln MKS vehicles built June 2, 2011 to Oct. and certain 2010-2013 Ford Police Interceptor sedans built Dec.
