2016 Ford Transit, Transit Connect Add More Features - Automobile
For the 2016 model year, Ford has updated its popular Transit and Transit Connect cargo and passenger van lineup. The 2016 Ford Transit and Transit Connect models offer more technology, starting with the inclusion of Ford’s newest Sync 3 infotainment system is now available. For medium- and high-roof 2016 Ford Transit vans, dual sliding side cargo doors are now available, bringing the total number of different Transit configurations up to 58, up from 47 for the 2015 model year. In addition, four additional colors are added to the Transit’s palette, now including Shadow Black, Caribou Brown, Magnetic Gray, and Race Red. For Transit Connect models, a perimeter alarm is now available at no additional cost. The Transit Connect Wagon and XLT now have optional 17-inch alloy wheels. For 2016, Ford added a few revisions to the powertrain features and options for the Transit. The Transit Connect and Transit Connect Wagon XLT can also now be optioned with the 1. 6-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder. Source: www.automobilemag.com
