Two drivers killed in head-on collision in Lafayette County - Gainesville Sun

Rosalie Taylor Jackson, 23, of Mayo, and Jerry Michael Nickerson, 30, of Wellborn, were killed, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release. The accident occurred about 6:45 a. m. on U. S. 27. Jackson was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200S southbound while Nickerson was driving a 1992 Ford Ranger northbound. FHP reported that it may have been raining heavily in the area when, for an unknown reason, Jackson crossed the center line into the northbound lane and the two vehicles hit head-on.
