The way Jim Stone tells it, he drove home from the Osceola dealership a happy man, thinking how great his new 2008 Harley-Davidson limited edition Ford truck would look hauling his $47,000 loaded Harley motorcycle. That was, the Belton, Mo. resident says, until he got to his business and a buddy said: Nice fake Harley truck you got there. I was so (ticked) off that I almost drove up there and drove it through the front doors, Stone told me a week after his purchase. The whole time I was up there, no one ever said, This is an imitation of a real nice Harley truck. The way the owner of Anchor Motors tells it, Stone knew he wasnt buying a real Harley edition F-250, but he liked it anyway. That both men are upset is one thing everyone can agree on. But Stones complaint to The Des Moines Register Readers Watchdog raises questions about dealerships responsibility in used car advertising. Stone, a semi-retired businessman, had been looking for a Harley truck online for a couple of weeks. Then he saw a great looking black and orange 2008 Harley edition F-250 with only 37,961 miles while buying a car for his wife in Osceola. Once Stone got home to Missouri, he called a salesman at a local Ford dealership there and asked him if he could negotiate a better price for the truck at Anchor Motors. Forfeiture Motions Filed For Cycles, Vehicles Seized At Twin Peaks - KWTX

The McLennan County District Attorney’s Office has filed civil motions naming 25 individuals arrested in the May 17 Twin Peaks motorcycle gang shootings seeking forfeiture of tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of motorcycles and vehicles... District Attorney Abel Reyna said Wednesday state law requires that forfeiture motions be filed within 30 days of an arrest and Wednesday marks the 30th day since the shootings that claimed nine lives and left 18 injured. Texas law requires that prosecutors prove that items sought through forfeiture were used in the commission of a felony crime or were purchased with money generated from a felony crime. Items sought for forfeiture can include vehicles, cash, real estate, firearms and other items. Motorcycle crash claims life on Highway 20 - Burns Times Herald

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Sergeant Brian Williams, on June 18, at about 3:43 p. m. , a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Steven A. Gale, 71, of Montara, Calif. , rear-ended another motorcycle on Highway 20 at milepost 114 (near Sage Hen rest area). The other motorcycle, a 2008 Harley Davidson, operated by Robert Resch, 65, of Half Moon Bay, Calif. Resch and his passenger, Janet Kluzik, 54, of Half Moon Bay, Calif. After striking Resch’s motorcycle, Gale’s motorcycle veered into the path of a 2011 Ford F250 head-on. Preliminary information indicates Gale and Resch had been traveling together when they became separated. It appears Gale was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with Resch, who had just pulled out from Sage Hen rest area. OSP was assisted at the scene by the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, Hines Police Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation. XHTML: You can use these tags:
