Sporty classics at Shannons' Sydney auction - Motoring

The Shannons Sydney auction on May 18 will showcase a diverse range of classic driver's cars, including a Jaguar E-Type Roadster selling without reserve. Imported from California in 1991 and converted to right-hand drive during its restoration here, the E-Type is a 1969 Series III Roadster finished in Imperial Maroon and fitted with a rebuilt 3. 8-litre six from a Mark X sedan. Among the other cars going to auction are a 1958 Austin-Healey 100/6 BN6 estimated to sell for a price between $50,000 and $60,000, and a 1954 MG TF that is believed to be worth a sum between $30,000 and $35,000. The Model T was not the first to use the production line (that was Oldsmobile), but it was the first to massively cheapen the process. The '82 Audi 5000 was one of the first to have a modern, streamlined shape that was brought to the mainstream by Ford and the Taurus. Audi would go on to define many modern design cues seen today, such as squared-off headlights and larger, more ornate grills. The first Lexus LS would scare the crap out of European competitors and put them back on track to making the marvels we see today. Though AMC made crossover-like vehicles (and some mainstream cars that focused on fuel economy), the Ford Escape in 2000 would define the modern crossover with the CD2 platform. I think we'll also look back and see the Model S as a game-changer, not only because of its effective use of electricity, but it's perfected aluminum frame and completely computerized setup. Ford revealed last week the new Mustang Shelby GT350, which is going on sale in the near future. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5. 2-liter V8 engine that delivers 500 bhp and more than 400 lb. -ft. of torque at the crank. So far, Ford did not disclose the performance figures (0-60 mph / 0-100 km/h acceleration, top speed) of the new Mustang Shelby GT350. The new Shelby GT350 comes equipped with a Torsen limited slip differential and a 6-speed manual transmission. Ford is going to sell the new Shelby GT350 with an optional Track Pack.
