Convicted killer's harassment pleas postponed - Waco Tribune-Herald

But prosecutor Aubrey Robertson told McLennan County Court-at-Law Judge Mike Freeman on Wednesday morning that he needed to confer with the three victims, District Attorney Abel Reyna and Sheriff Parnell McNamara before making a final plea offer. Robertson told Freeman at a later hearing Wednesday that he has offered Collier 30 days in jail for each count, which would equate to time served for the 14 days he spent behind bars in July. Freeman postponed the plea hearing until Thursday morning to give one or more of the victims a chance to attend. The judge also ordered Collier to continue wearing a GPS ankle monitor that he has had since he posted bond almost a year ago and to spend the night at a hotel outside McLennan County, a condition of his release. Kelly said Collier was eager to resolve the matter Wednesday, but will return to court Thursday morning to keep from having to make another trip from California. Collier, who changed his name from Peter Zimmer, served almost four years in a juvenile facility after murdering his parents and younger brother in Wisconsin in 1983 when he was 14. Floyd Kephart's proposal ripped as a very bad deal for Raiders - NBCSports.com

Officially, the proposal made by Floyd Kephart for bridging the gap between the private contributions toward the cost of a new Raiders stadium and the total price tag for the building has not been released. Matthew Artz of the Bay Area News Group reports that proposal includes a suggestion that the team sell a 20-percent stake to Kephart’s company , New City Development, for $200 million. Marc Ganis, a long-time league consultant on stadium matters describes the overall proposal as a very bad one. “This is not just the worst stadium proposal I’ve seen,” Ganis said. The proposal is so bad that Ganis views it as an invitation by the local government for the Raiders to leave. And with a much more viable proposal in the L. A. area to share a stadium with the Chargers in Carson, the Raiders may be ready to accept. Then question then would be whether Carson can beat Inglewood in the race to build a new L. A. -area stadium. And if Inglewood wins, the current partners in Carson could suddenly be racing for the second seat at the table with the Rams.
