Salazar and the other driver, Jorge Zuniga-Guillem, a 65-year-old gate guard of Rio Grande City, were pronounced dead about 3 p. m. by Justice of the Peace George Trigo, of La Salle County. Salazar was driving the pickup west and swerved into the eastbound lane on a curve of the two-way roadway, according to the report. Records detail intense investigation of suspect in bombing at NAACP building - Colorado Springs Gazette

For days, authorities tracked a man they believed had tried to bomb a Colorado Springs building. Thaddeus Murphy, 44, is expected to accept a plea agreement Monday in a hearing scheduled at the U. S. District Court in Denver. Murphy was indicted by a federal grand jury and pleaded not guilty to arson and possessing a firearm as a felon in February. A trial scheduled to begin July 27 was vacated after Murphy's federal public defender notified the court in June that a plea agreement had been reached. 6 explosion outside 603 S. Ford Recalls F-250/F-350 Truck Steering Gears - Truckinginfo

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 538 service replacement steering gears that may have been installed on 2008-2010 model-year Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty diesel trucks in North America. The problem stems from a replacement steering gear mounting flange that does not rest flush against the vehicle frame. Over time and with high mileage, the replacement steering gear bolts may break, increasing the risk of a crash, Ford said. Ford said it is aware of 375 steering gears that may have been installed on vehicles in the U. S. and federalized territories, 156 in Canada and seven in Mexico.
