This week the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels back to Pocono Raceway for the second and final race at the triangular oval for this season. The Pocono races are the closest back-to-back races in the schedule aside from the All Star Challenge and Coca-Cola 600 back-to-back weekends. This short, eight-week interval between races affords the competitors with a unique, quick turnaround from their first race at this facility. With that in mind, it's not unreasonable to expect those drivers who performed well the first time around to have a good chance at repeating their success since they'll likely be unloading the same chassis and running a similar if not identical... Because of this, current momentum and hot streaks will also play a role in Sunday's Windows 10 400. Considering that this is the second race of 2015 at Pocono Raceway, we need to take a quick look at the loop stats for this unique facility. This track is so unlike any other on the circuit that we'll really need to focus on the last race and recent performances at Pocono for this weekend's drivers. University of Minnesota's Trevor Lo has enjoyed a memorable week of fishing in central Wisconsin. After earning a runner-up finish in the Bassmaster College Series National Championship on Lake DuBay with partner and Rhinelander native Chris Burgan on July 11, Lo enjoyed even more success. Lo capped off his week by defeating Texas A&M's Josh Bensema in the final round of the Bassmaster College Series Classic Bracket to earn a spot in the 2016 Bassmaster Classic on Grand Lake O' the Cherokees from March 4 through 6 in Tulsa, Okla. The reigning champion of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops National Championship, Bensema brought in only one bass weighing 2 pounds, 8 ounces and was unable to hold off the midday charge that boated Lo three bass... As Lo stood on stage and was awarded his berth to the 2016 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro, he was overcome with emotion and fought to hold back the tears. Immediately after the Top 4 teams were decided via the national championship Saturday, contestants were allowed to either go out on the Wisconsin River Flowage to scout for an hour or they could opt out and work on tackle. Joe Gibbs Racing's Carl Edwards won the pole for the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Edwards drove his No. 19 Stanley Toyota to his 15th career pole and first in 11 races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a lap of 183. 464 mph. In searching for his first win at Indianapolis on Sunday, Edwards will look to improve upon his best-ever performance at IMS when he finished as the runner-up to Jimmie Johnson in 2008. "After yesterday, this is amazing," Edwards said. This is the first pole at the Brickyard for Toyota. Due to the new high-drag aerodynamic package on Sprint Cup Series cars, Crown Royal 400 at the Brickyard qualifying was modified to a two-round format. Each car posted a time for one lap in the first round, with the 12 fastest cars advancing to a second round, where one more single-lap run was used to determine the polesitter. "The first round, we weren't the fastest car. I watched the clouds and the timing worked out pretty well, and I thought I'm going to be pretty aggressive on this second one. Then, after going through Turns 1 and 2, I thought 'This is going to be a really good lap. Joey Logano and David Ragan qualified second and third behind Edwards - the same top 3 qualifiers as a week ago at New Hampshire.
