Made in Smyrna, Tennessee, and larger in every key dimension than its compact predecessor, the Frontier offers King Cab (with rear-hinged rear mini-doors) and Crew Cab configurations, in both 2WD and 4WD. All have a 125. 9-inch wheelbase--up 9. 8... Trim levels include the XE (King Cab/2WD only), SE, LE, and Nismo, an off-road package with unique suspension tuning, Bilstein gas shocks, skidplates, and other mechanical tweaks. The XE comes with a 2. 5-liter I-4 engine, all others get a 4. 0-liter V-6. We drove a well-appointed 4WD Nismo Crew Cab for this test. Last night we had dinner with Richard Miller, Nissan's product planning guru (it says so right on his card), and we had a great conversation about the truck market and the different strategies truck makers are using to meet customers' needs. Unfortunately, he couldn't get too specific about the next Nissan Titan. "We know we have a lot of room to grow, and the next Titan, the one we're working on now, is going to be a big first step," Miller said. "We're looking at making the Titan into something better able to give our customers more of what they want, but that's not always easy. They want just as much power as they've always had, but they want much better fuel economy. they want better storage solutions, but they don't want to give anything up to get it. and they want all the features, but don't want to pay more. If Toyota or Nissan or Honda had come to market with that technology, I'm not sure it would have been as universally accepted," he said. Continuing on the powertrain theme, Miller said, "Going forward, it's going to be really tough in this segment (full-size pickup truck) to not offer the customer a lot of choice. A massive recall at Nissan and Infiniti--the automaker's third-largest recall ever--affects nearly 750,000 vehicles sold in the U. S. Nissan says the 2004-2006 Nissan Armada pickup and Titan sport-utility vehicle, as well as the same-year models... In affected vehicles, vaporization of silicon could cause the voltage going to the vehicles' engine control module to fluctuate, causing a stall. Nissan will replace the voltage relay to solve the problem on affected vehicles. All of the vehicles in question were manufactured in the U. S.   "Our truck is definatly a good purchase. We bought it new, and haven't had a ounce of regret with it. It's a truck. so it won't ride as smooth as a sedan, but hey, we still like it. Only problem we had was 2 recalls on the vehicle from Nissand and we promptly had it serviced and fixed. The room inside can't be beat. Alot of room in the rear seat for the kids, or cargo, the seats lift up for even more room. I just cant say enough good things about it."

  My first full size truck.  Needed something when kids got bigger and back seat has plenty of space for three FULL size adults.   Towing is awesome.  Have 5th wheel trailer and towed 19,623 lbs for three hours.  Did great entire trip.  Regularly exceeded tow capacity by 50% for two years

  Cons

  Rough ride.   It's a truck.

  Nissan Titan - One Awsome Truck — This was my first full size truck. It rides rough but it is a truck. Handles well for a full size truck. I used to own a small lumber yard and abused the truck for a few years. Power Train is still strong. 302K miles and just had regular maintenance. My third Nissan. Hard body and Frontier were it's predecessors. Both of them were great also. Just outgrew them with kids.

  Reliable & Comfortable — Easy to drive and operate. Very reliable and comfortable. For a big truck, it's one of the best overall. Lots of power, towing capacity and comfortable on long trips. It does everything a little better than the competition. Does everything the American trucks do except with the added reliability of a Nissan.

  Great! — Reliable and rugged - Great truck, up to 130,000 miles. Trust to take all over the country as it has already been. Its pulled dually s out of ditches! 4x4 is great on the truck, gas mileage is horrible ofcourse lucky if you get 16 mpg. Lucky! Otherwise I love the style, always have hope they don't change it! Though as reliable as these trucks are i'll have it until it croaks...if ever!

  Easy truck to drive and great for the tough work and long hauls.

  Massive gas guzzler and though it'll last forever it gets pretty expensive when you have to start getting work done. It also cost way too much.

  The Beast. — I love driving this car. It has a great sound and feel to it, a huge engine, the mirrors are great and make it really easy to drive (being a massive truck) and the subs under the seat make it a fun road trip car.

  Titan — My titan is a powerful truck .....comfortable and roomy....all leather interior rockford fosgate sound system def. a nice truck to own. a funn offroadin truck but expensive. definitly worth the buy i would recomend it to anyone wanting power and comfort.

  Off Road Monster Meet Drag Racer — Who needs a Hemi? The 5.6L V8 in the Titan is the superstar of the domestic pickup market. Make no mistake, this is an all-American V8 in an all-American truck. The Titan is big, but lighter than most of its rivals despite having a fully boxed frame and some of the highest load capacities. The 5.6L sounds better than anything on the road, pulls like a freight train all the way to red line and makes every on ramp an opportunity to embarrass something "sporty". Unfortunately it's also the thirstiest half-ton truck on the market. I mean, 13MPG is a good average in this thing. Although the truck is very commodious, comfortable and rides well; long trips hurt your back side from the burning sensation in your wallet. With the off-road package I'm convinced that if the truck will fit, it'll get there. The traction available is incredible and the truck seems to have a lower center of gravity than most 4x4s.

  Very Comfortable And Powerful — I like it alot has plenty of power to tow what I need it to tow. I only tow a 16 foot boat and a Polaris Ranger UTV I think if anyone is to go get a new truck checkk out the Nissan Titan first you will be overly amazed.
