But authentic midcentury American iron is what the annual gathering in upstate New York, less than a mile from the east bank of the Hudson River, is all about. Each spring, more than a thousand cars gather in this small town three hours north of New York City, coming from all over New England and western New York state. Bread and butter American cars that few collectors thought to preserve are what Rhinebeck does best. Available in two-door and four-door form, the Skylark was the most affordable model in the Buick range, and was equipped with 250 cid inline-six engines and 350 cid V8 engines.
