2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Firestone Ride-Rite Leveling Kit Install - On The Level - Four Wheeler Network

You could use air helper springs. There are probably many other reasons you could use air helper springs, but if you’ve read this far into the intro, you could use—you guessed it. In our case, we had an ’07 Ram Mega Cab with a 6. 7L Cummins turbodiesel. The truck was frequently used to haul heavy trailers holding heavy equipment or heavy off-road vehicles. We got tired of feeling the rear bumpstops bottoming, so we pulled the trigger on a Firestone Ride-Rite rear air helper spring system. Ride-Rite’s PN 2299 fit our chassis and included a pair of high-quality double convoluted air helper springs with a combined capacity of 5,000 pounds, heavy-duty mounting brackets, hardware, and enough air line to plumb the air springs either... We made the mistake of prepping the air springs beforehand by installing the air line fittings. Wait until the air springs are installed, because the mounting nuts won’t fit over the brass fittings. All of the line fittings are a simple push-lock—Just make a square cut of the plastic air lines and push them in. It’s stupid easy. Source: www.fourwheeler.com

With the average Blue Marlin Grand Championship boat size exceeding his by 20 feet, J. J. Tabor and his four buddies — competing aboard a 37-foot Freeman center console catamaran — did the improbable. Tabor managed to whip a big marlin after a fight lasting more than five hours. By the time the behemoth was iced down, Double J had to make the run back to Orange Beach to make the 7 p. m. Saturday deadline. They had 300 miles to cover. “I didn’t think we’d make it,” Tabor said afterwards. So we had to run 20 more miles to Venice to refuel before heading on. But we made it. ”. Double J actually made the deadline with time to spare but had to endure the agonizing wait while other boats weighed their catch. The marlin — the biggest J. J. had ever caught — was captured on 80-pound test line with a live blackfin tuna used as bait. “We were looking for smaller fish, going for catch-and-release points when we ran across this one,” Tabor said. Double J ran an average 53 miles per hour on the way back to Orange Beach. For the long weekend, the team covered 891 miles of water in the open center console. “This just proves that anyone can compete,” Tabor said.
