In an attempt to garner more appeal for younger drivers, the 2015 Toyota Yaris has been restyled to evoke the dynamics of a "hot hatchback" and is offered in three trim levels. L, LE, and SE. Toyota's Yaris marketing plan has eliminated broad option packages, and focuses instead on individual trim levels to make the car easier to purchase, while keeping the price somewhat in check starting at $14,845. By large, the... Toyota tapped its European design team for the look of the revised car: They prescribed new LED daytime running lights, projector beam headlamp assemblies (both for the SE), and a larger, more dynamic grille. Out back, the primary changes include the bumper, rear hatch design, redesigned tail lamp assemblies, and strangely - for a model being billed as offering a more sporting flavor - the deletion of the chrome exhaust tip. Thanks to the changes, the 2015 Yaris absolutely looks more aggressive. Integrating a nicely restrained use of metallic accents and soft-touch materials mitigates the abundance of plastic, making the model look less "affordable. The driver's seat adjusts six ways now, thanks to the addition of height adjustability. Legroom in the back seat is dependent upon the generosity of the front-seat passengers, but four people could be transported in reasonable comfort. Source: www.chron.com

1927 Case: Touring car from farm equipment maker - Chron.com

Farm equipment manufactured by the J. I. Case Co. of Racine, Wisconsin , was well-known in rural America as the 20th Century began. Case was not only a builder of threshing machines but also steam traction engines, as well as agricultural tractors and other farm equipment. As automobiles began to replace the horse and buggy, Case decided to cash in on the trend and offer a gasoline-powered car in 1910. Case was already a trusted name and the network of dealers that sold Case farm equipment would also sell Case... Initially, Case cars were powered by four-cylinder engines. After a few years a six-cylinder Continental engine replaced the smaller engine. The Case company proved to be more adept at selling farm equipment than cars, so Case automobile production ceased in the autumn of 1926 with only a few 1927 model cars manufactured. One of those 1927 cars, a thoroughly restored Model "Y" seven-passenger touring car was advertised for sale in 2014 at an exclusively Case farm equipment auction in Maryland. The Case farm equipment at the auction held no interest for Leaf, but the fully restored 1927 touring car did.
