PALERMO, N. Y. -- A 32-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon when his car collided with a pickup truck towing a camper on state Route 3 in Palermo, Oswego County sheriff's investigators said. Sun, whose most recent address was 29 Vincent St. in Carthage, was driving a 2002 Saturn south on state Route 3, just north of county Route 4 in Palermo at 12:11 p. m. Sunday when the crash happened, sheriff's investigators said. Sun's car crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a camper, investigators said. Bartlett, 48, and his 9-year-old daughter, who were in the pickup truck, were injured in the crash, deputies said. McFee and Menter Ambulance services, Palermo and Mexico volunteer fire departments, and the New York State Police assisted at the scene. Oswego County 911 dispatchers said a portion of state Route 3 remains closed Sunday night. Source: www.syracuse.com
