?Blackmore Vale Media Business Awards sponsors: Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors - Blackmore Vale Magazine

Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors are new sponsors of a new category Silver Business of Excellence. In 1982 they opened a new funeral home Verwood, and in 1987 a third office was opened West Moors. Jackie, Nicholas' wife joined him in the business full time in the 1980's. She modernised the office and helped to create a new partnership. In a move away from everything to do with funeral being black, Nicholas O'Hara's fleet of vehicles are silver. The customised silver fleet includes two enlarged Jaguar limousines and a Jaguar XJ based hearse, one of only three in the UK. They have become the signature of Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors. At a funeral staff wear navy blue, this emphasises the public's changed approach to funerals. Last year the company celebrated their 40th year in business and were Regional Funeral Planners of the Year at the Golden Charter Awards. They are the ideal sponsors for the Silver Business of Excellence award, as they fulfil all of its requirements themselves. This awards aims to recognise and reward business excellence across all sectors, private, public and charity. All business entering this award must have been established 25 or more years ago. If you know of a company which has been launched, or has had a change of ownership within the past two years, let them know about the BVM Business. Source: www.blackmorevale.co.uk
