Reistetter, a freelance golf writer, is celebrating the return of golf to the Olympic Games by driving from St. Louis, the last place it was part of the iconic games more than a century ago, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the host city of the 2016... His three-month road trip, which he has dubbed the “Journey to Olympic Golf,” will take him across the southeastern U. S. , Mexico, Central and South America in his 1992 Infiniti M30 convertible. “I am really trying to define the Olympic spirit for golf, because no one has done it for the last 112 years,” Reistetter said. “I think not only will golf come to the Olympics, the Olympic spirit will come to golf.
