Police: Man drove drunk at 118 mph - Rutland Herald

A Castleton man was arrested Monday night for allegedly driving nearly 70 miles over the posted speed limit with a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit. Vermont State Police said William A. Stuart, 34, was clocked driving a 2013 Kia Optima north on Route 7 in Dorset at 118 mph. A preliminary breath test administered at the scene showed a blood-alcohol level of 0. 24 percent, police said. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is 0. 08 percent.
