The transformation from SUV-to-truck started simply enough by chopping everything behind the Discovery’s C-pillar. But it’s the addition of another Discovery’s hindquarters which really extenuates the pickup look, and subsequently allows space for that third axle. An electric motor is intended to power the back wheels, and until outfitted, this six-wheeler will remain four-wheel-drive. According to the owner, the Land Rover boasts a hardy ARB bumper out front, and rides atop a two-inch Old Man Emu spring lift on the front and middle axles, while the rear is articulated by an air-suspension setup. Like the burly Mercedes 6×6, the six-wheeled Land Rover also draws power from a V8 engine, though this one’s a 4. 0-liter Rover unit.
