A southwest suburban man was drunk when he ran a red light and crashed into another car Sunday in Orland Park, critically injuring a woman on her way home from work, according to police. McFadden Jr. , 21, was driving a 2004 Lexus LX470 SUV westbound on 159th Street when he ran the red light at Harlem Avenue about 2:35 a. m. , Orland Park police said. His SUV hit the driver’s side of a Dodge Neon that was southbound on Harlem and had the green light, a statement from police said. The 32-year-old Tinley Park woman driving the car had to be cut out of the wreckage, police said. McFadden was not injured, and admitted to police that he had been drinking before the crash, according to police. and cited for disobeying a traffic control signal and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash, police said.
