UPDATE: At 5:50 p. m. : Oncor is now reporting about 4,500 customers without power in Copperas Cove, Killeen, Harker Heights and Nolanville after a power line came down at the Killeen Mall near Sears. Police and Killeen street crews are reporting a traffic light out at Trimmier and Elms Road in Killeen. Crews also rescued people from a vehicle that landed in a ditch in the 1700 block of Bacon Ranch Road in Killeen. UPDATE: At 5:35 p. m. : Killeen street crews are reporting water on several roads, motorists should use caution and not attempt to drive through water. The severe thunderstorm warning is set to expire at 6 p. m. A strong thunderstorm moving from Mother Neff Park near Moody south into Killeen and other parts of Bell County knocked out power to about 600 customers in the Killeen area, Oncor reported. About 30 customers in Coryell County were without power at 5 p. m. The area was under a severe thunderstorm warning and meteorologists warned of potential for flooding. Source: kdhnews.com
