SVRA: Best of yesteryear takes on Pocono - Racer
Rare is the day that we don't wonder what it would be like to see a Ginetta G4 racing a Lotus Elan at Pocono, and IndyCar fans attending this weekend's race will have the opportunity to answer that question for themselves. The SVRA Vintage Festival brings a packed schedule of historic racing to the weekend's billing, with a rich array of machinery spanning five decades set to do battle on the 1. 37-mile South-East configuration of Pocono's infield road course. Highlights will include a 60-minute, one-pitstop Vintage/Classic endurance race on Saturday morning, and a 90-minute, two-pit stop event for Historic GT/GTP/ALMS cars later that same day. Historic oval cars will also get an airing, with a selection of Indy Cars, Sprint Cars, Stock Cars and Modifieds lined up for a series of demonstration runs on the full IndyCar layout.
