Two dead and two injured after a wrong way crash on I-80 - KRNV My News 4

com & KRNV) -- According to Nevada Highway Patrol, two are dead after a two vehicle head on crash that occurred on Interstate 80 near Sparks Blvd around 3 A. M Saturday morning. Officials say a red 1990 Mazda pickup driven by an adult male driver along with a male passenger was traveling wrong way, where it hit a green 1998 Mazda Protégé driven by an adult male along with an adult female passenger. The two vehicles collided head on in the left lane of eastbound I80 just west of the Sparks Blvd exit. The driver of the red pickup and the passenger of the car died on scene. The driver of the car and the passenger of the pickup were taken to Renown Hospital with critical life threatening injuries. I80 eastbound was shut down for several hours while the NHP investigated the crash scene. Luckily I was in the right hand lane when he went by and was one of the first ones to call it to NHP. Did I see the headlights coming at me. Yes right before he went past me. Mostly because it was dark, no street lights, and because of the curves on the 80 I wasn't sure if he was coming at me in my lane, a train coming around a corner, or if it... It scared the crap out of me. Because this isn't the first time there was a wrong way driver on the 80 I always drive in the far right lane unless I have to go around someone. Source: www.mynews4.com
