NHTSA decided to open a probe after receiving multiple complaints from consumers that front suspension lower ball joints could separate, causing drivers to lose control of their vehicle, according to the Associated Press . No accidents, injuries... "One of the separations allegedly occurred at 40 mph and the other five incidents occurred at speeds between 0 and 20 mph.
