Facelift for top-selling Mazda CX-5 - Stuff.co.nz
Mazda is on a roll right now, and leading the way is a medium-sized SUV. The vehicle is the CX-5, which last month was the third most popular passenger vehicle in New Zealand behind perennial favourite the Toyota Corolla and its SUV sibling the RAV-4. And in fourth place was the Mazda3, the pair of vehicles contributing to a strong overall performance from Mazda which not only moved the brand into second place overall in passenger car sales, but also saw it achieve year-on-year monthly... But the Mazda vehicle of the moment is the CX-5, which immediately took its place as a popular medium-sized SUV when it was first launched in 2012 - it was Fairfax NZ's Car of the Year that year - and it hasn't looked back since. Now it has been facelifted, the update featuring a number of features and innovations carried across from the Mazda3, which is the current New Zealand Car of the Year. Extensive changes have been made to the CX-5's interior via a new front and rear console design, wider door storage pockets, adjustable cup-holders with storage bin, and 3D meter cluster dials.
