Product Descriptions:
As the Rear of the car is the ideal place for a lip spoiler or a splitter as these serve to increase the amount of downforce at the Rear of the car. The air stream is brought to stagnation above the splitter or lip spoiler by an air dam that causes an area of high pressure. Below the splitter, the air is redirected away from the stagnation zone and is accelerated which causes low pressure. This combined with the high pressure over the splitter, creates downforce. The larger the area of the splitter or so called a Rear lip spoiler, the more downforce can be generated.
