Man who jumped from window pleads to drug charges - Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier

TOLEDO | A man who was found with more than $17,000 in cash after jumping from a second-story Toledo motel room has pleaded guilty to drug charges. Luis Mariano Sandoval, 34, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute Aug. While officers were checking identification from three people in the room, Sandoval knocked out a window screen and jumped out, according to court records. They also searched a 2004 Nissan Maxima in the area and found a backpack that contained 232 grams of meth and paperwork from the Meskwaki Casino with his name showing he won $4,000 from a slot machine in January. More meth was found inside the motel room. Sandoval remains at the Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids until sentencing. Source: wcfcourier.com
