Section of McArdle Road reopens to drivers - KRIS Corpus Christi News

After months and months of construction, McArdle road between Nile Drive and Ennis Joslin is finally open again. However, no one is more grateful for the renovations than the Encinia family. Back in 2012, 24-year-old Kimberly Encinia was killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking down McArdle. When her mother heard the road was open again, she took a drive to see the improvements for herself. "The first thing I saw was the sidewalks," said hit-and-run victim's mother Mary Encinia. "I told her, I said, 'Look baby, it's looking really good. Maybe one day they'll find it in their heart to call in or turn themselves in. ". Investigators believe the car that hit Encinia is a light colored 2002 through 2004 Nissan Xterra. Source: www.kristv.com
