Luxurious arrangements: premium brand auto sales in Canada in 2015 - Autofocus

Mercedes-Benz’s car division is up 17% thanks largely to its best-selling model, the C-Class, Canada’s favourite premium brand car at the moment. Sales: up 23. 4% to 12,163 – Traditionally, Lexus built Canada’s top-selling premium brand utility vehicle, the RX. As Lexus prepares to launch an all-new RX for the 2016 model year, RX sales are predictably slipping. But Lexus is more than filling in the gaps with a new entry-level crossover, the NX. Infiniti’s utilities, on the other hand, are all on the upswing, from the QX50’s 3% uptick to the QX70’s 28% increase, the QX80’s 33% jump, and the best-selling QX60’s 7% improvement. Sales: up 0. 7% to 2758 – The first-generation XC90 was an integral part of the Volvo lineup, accounting for nearly one-quarter of the brand’s sales a decade ago. Can the new XC90, finally having arrived in May, provide a boost to Volvo’s Candian volume, the company’s bottom line, and to the brand’s overall image, as well.
