Earl Bamber will race in the next two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Abu Dhabi Proton Racing in the GTE Am class starting with next weekend’s 6 Hours of Nurburgring. Bamber (pictured right) raced alongside Nico Hulkenberg (left) and Nick Tandy (centre) in the no. 19 Porsche LMP1 car that claimed the German marque’s first overall victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1998 in June. The New Zealander also raced in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in May as part of Porsche’s plan to run a third car at two races in the 2015 WEC season, and appeared to have made his final appearance of the season. However, Bamber will now return to the WEC for next weekend’s race at the Nurburgring with the Abu Dhabi Proton Racing team, racing in the no. 88 Porsche 911.
