(WSVN) -- Two brothers are fighting for their lives after being struck by a hit-and-run driver and the victims' family is making an emotional plea for justice. The two kids who were hit are 8-year-old Apollo Brown, Jr. and 14-year-old Kelv'ron Florence. Their parents said they were normal kids-- one an "A" student and the other a video-game lover. They are respectable kids," said the boys' father, Apollo Brown, Sr. Monday evening the brothers went to a basketball game at Attucks Middle School. They wanted a ride home from their grandmother, Addie McCrea, but she couldn't make it. "They said, 'Grandma, come pick us up,'" McCrea said. Around 6:30 p. m. Brown and Florence began to walk, crossing South Bryan Street at Sterling Road in Dania Beach. Then, a metallic gray, two-door Toyota Tacoma hit the brothers before they could make it home to their mother. Mother Selena Brown is baffled by the driver's carelessness.
