The 2012 Toyota Tacoma was slightly refreshed this year, with a reworked front fascia that includes new fog lamp housing and lower bumper. The TRD Sport Package for the Tacoma receives a few revisions as well and now comes with turn signal lamps on the side mirrors, and new 18-inch wheels. Toyota also tweaked the Tacoma's interior including a new steering wheel and upgraded audio systems for all trims. The four trim levels carry over from last year and include the regular cab, access cab, double cab, and the Tacoma X-Runner model. Also unchanged are the powertrain choices including the base 2. 7-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 159 hp. The Tacoma's 4. 0-liter, 236 horsepower V-6 engine is also unchanged. From there, a number of configurations can be had, such as two-wheel and four-wheel drive, four or five-speed automatic transmissions and five or six-speed manual transmissions.
