3 die, including child, in Skamania head-on crash - KOIN.com
(KOIN 6) — Three people were killed, including a seven-year-old child, and three others were hurt, after a head-on crash Saturday evening. According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash was reported at 8:04 p. m. Saturday along State Route 14 about three miles west of North Bonneville. The state patrol said 24-year-old Heath Martin, who lived in North Bonneville, was eastbound driving a 1997 Toyota Tacoma, when he crossed the center line. He was not wearing a seat-belt, troopers said. State officials confirmed to KOIN 6 News Martin did not have a valid Washington state drivers license. When Martin crossed the center lane, his vehicle hit a 2005 Toyota Sienna van that was being driven by 47-year-old Anatoliy Goy, troopers said. He was wearing a seat-belt, but died on scene, according to troopers. Mariya Goy, 49, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and then transferred to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. Two boys, a nine-year-old and an 11-year-old, were also hurt in the crash. They were both initially transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and then transferred to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. A seven-year-old boy was also killed. There will be no criminal charges filed in the case, troopers said, because Martin died. Source: koin.com
