Toyota has launched successors to two of its IMV (Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle) products, with the third also due for a launch in Thailand this year. The third vehicle in question is the 2016 Toyota Innova, which is extremely important for the Indian market as the Innova is the best-selling product for TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor). However, Toyota is unlikely to offer the more powerful 2. 8-liter diesel on the Innova, though a petrol variant will continue for select markets. Diesel AT to be offered Keeping in mind the growing demand for an automatic transmission, the new Innova will pack a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel variant, though the standard gearbox would be a 6-speed manual unit.
