All-New Mitsubishi Triton Revealed, In Australia From Mid-2015 - The Motor Report

Mitsubishi has at last revealed its all-new 2015 Triton , unveiling the big pickup in Thailand today. International engine options will include ‘4D56’ 2. 5 litre diesel and ‘4G64’ 2. 4 litre petrol engines, along with a new 133kW/430Nm ‘4N15’ aluminium 2. 4 litre MIVEC four-cylinder turbodiesel option. New 4N15 2. 4 Diesel Locally, the 2015 Triton will launch exclusively with the 2. 4 litre diesel, which boasts a low compression ratio of 15. 5:1 - a key factor in the use of an aluminium cylinder block. Importantly, Mitsubishi says the new engine’s design focuses on reduced maintenance costs, thanks in large part to the use of a timing chain that needn’t ever be replaced, and longer intervals between engine coolant changes, valve clearance and... New six-speed manual and five-speed auto transmissions will feature with the new engine, with the auto also equipped with Sport Mode shifting.
