HOLYOKE — A black bear that ventured into a travel lane on Interstate 91 was struck and killed by a passing vehicle Monday afternoon. A 2002 GMC Sonoma traveling northbound and driven by a 55-year-old Turners Falls man, who was not identified, hit the small bear in the right travel lane around 3:55 p. m. , according to Trooper Thomas Ryan.
