Vehicle crashes for week of Aug. 20 - Algona Upper Des Moines

16, 10:09 p. m. - Jusu David Dukuly, 30, Algona, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and failure to have a valid driver’s license in a one-vehicle crash. According to Deputy Josh Missman of the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, a passing motorist noticed a 2003 Buick LeSabre in the south ditch on 210th Street, and a male standing on the side of the road flagging the passing motorist down for help. Damage to the LeSabre was estimated at $1,500 and the vehicle was towed by Thilges Auto Body. None cited in Oak Street crash. 14, 5:22 p. m. – No one was cited in a two-vehicle crash between James Gerard Rotert, 41, LuVerne, and Todd Anthony Reynolds, 31, Bode, at the intersection of Oak and Roan Street. According to Officer Barnette Curry of the Algona Police Department, Rotert was northbound on Roan Street in his 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Reynolds was westbound on Oak Street in his 2012 GMC Sierra. Rotert struck Reynold’s vehicle in the rear driver side tire, causing Reynold’s vehicle to spin. Damage to the Cutlass was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the Sierra was estimated at $1,000. No injuries were posted in the accident report. - Craig Allen Plagge, 52, Fort Dodge, was injured in a one-vehicle crash on B55. Plagge was transported by Algona Ambulance to Kossuth.
