A Jacksonville Beach couple face charges of disorderly intoxication after witnesses at the beach spotted them engaging in intercourse on April 26. At approximately 3:36 p. m. , a Jacksonville Beach police officer responded to the 500 block of... The officer noted in his report that several thousand people were on the beach to celebrate the Opening of the Beaches. Upon arrival, he spotted a group of individuals, including the victim, pointing toward a man standing near the Fifth Avenue walkover. The woman ran through Ocean Front Park, and attempted to hide in some palmetto bushes on the north side of the park. While on the beach with his mother and friends, the victim said he watched the couple enter the water and begin to have sexual intercourse. The officer could see several small children in the area, along with numerous beach-goers. The victim added that when he approached the water, the two quickly pulled up their pants and headed toward the beach. He attempted to tell the man and woman to leave the beach, but the woman punched him in the face with a closed fist. ATLANTIC BEACH. ?
