Lanes were blocked as DPS conducts the investigation U. S. 87. Witnesses at the scene said that the white car was crossing U. S. 87 as the truck was northbound on the highway. The driver of the truck avoided catastrophe by swerving to miss the crossing compact sedan. In the process of swerving, the truck clipped the Avenger, entered a broadside skid that led to rolling over twice. San Angelo EMS responded to the scene, but luckily neither driver was injured, and the ambulance left the scene empty. Update 11:00 a. m. The DPS confirms what the witnesses reported to us. Added to the investigation was that the truck was in a blind spot for the white 2008 Dodge Avenger, whose driver stated that she did not see the incoming truck. The Avenger driver was crossing U.
