Investigators say two brothers involved in a hit-and-run wreck were fighting when they went off the road and struck two teenage girls walking alongside it. The brothers had been to a nearby QuikTrip at about 3 a. m. when they began arguing, according to investigators. Authorities say Gage Shriver's 1999 black Dodge 1500 pickup ran off Gordon Road and into a field, striking the girls and a fence. The brothers reportedly got out of the truck and continued their fight before getting back in and driving back onto the road. The mother told police the three drove back to QuikTrip in the mother's Suburban and passed by the wreck scene. That's when the brothers say they first saw Talley, injured by the side of the road, and called 911. During the course of the investigation, Ledbetter said authorities found one of the brother's wallet in the field.
