Fatal hit-and-run leads to pickup, investigators talk to 'person of interest' - Sun Sentinel
The debris was left behind after the 7:25 p. m. crash Wednesday between a maroon Ford F-150 and the man, 57, who was walking home with a friend along the 2600 block of Griffin Road after buying ice cream. The agency released an image of a truck similar to the one being sought, and Broward Crime Stoppers announced a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Bill Hidden, 52, the crash victim's roommate, told detectives he remembered seeing a red Ford pickup truck heading west as his friend tried to cross the street near Tropical Acres Steakhouse.
