Sewell adds Wichita Falls - Odessa American
Since 2008, Sewell Ford in Odessa was ranked in the top 100 in sales volume. The dealership ranked No. 1 in superduty truck sales in the United States for three years and Top 10 in the state of Texas. Fleet sales to companies, including many in the oil and gas industry, contributed to those sales volumes. Super-duty sales have fallen off somewhat, even though Sewell Ford still ranks top ten in the state. “When oil and gas prices drop, super duty sales do too,” Sewell said. Sewell saw a more diversified Wichita Falls economy with a manufacturing base and Air Force station that “counter balance” to West Texas downturns driven by the oil and gas industry.
