2016 Ford Super Duty Trucks Offer Factory-Installed Strobe Lights - AutoGuide.com
Work crews everywhere will now be able to get a 2016 Ford Super Duty equipped with an LED lighting package that comes straight from the factory. Up front, the lights are mounted on metal brackets at the rear of the hood while the rear-facing lights are mounted on either side of the high-mounted stop light on the back of the cab. Ford says the lights are visible from up to 1,000-feet away during the day and up to a mile away at night. The light package on all 2016 Ford Super Duty trucks are backed by a three year, 36,000-mile warranty. I am all for factory mounted LED flashing lights ( Notice I did not say strobe ). But the cost is excessive $700. 00 plus dealer fee’s is way to much and should be around the $150. 00 to $200. 00 price point. The front LED lights should be located in the grill on front end and not over the hood next to windshield on mounting brackets. Experience shows as I pulled as a professional truck driver over dimensional loads for many years and avoided at all cost having flashing light reflection hit me in the face due to glare off a hood.
