Outwardly, the 2015 F-series Super Duty trucks—F-250, F-350, and F-450—look identical to their 2014 counterparts. Ford’s most-recent Super Duty cosmetic updates came for 2011 , and consisted mostly of a chrome-tacular front-end treatment that continues on this newest model. The big news comes under the truck’s skin: Ford’s in-house, 6. 7-liter Power Stroke diesel V-8 receives a host of changes to produce more power. To achieve its mystery power gains, Ford slapped on a larger turbocharger with a single compressor vane instead of the outgoing version’s dual-sided vane. This gives the exhaust gases more usable surface area to work the compressor, enabling Ford to dial back the boost and ditch the old model’s waste gate. Working in concert with the new turbocharger are new fuel-injector tips, a tweaked fuel pump, and a new exhaust temperature sensor that begets more-accurate control over fuel delivery.
