THE YEAR 2015 is shaping up to be another banner year for the Philippine automotive industry, with more cars being released, from all segments and niches of the industry. Foreign direct investments are up, and rumors of many industrial powerhouses planning to move back to the Philippines from other Asean countries has been promising. Another factor is the low interest rates for car loans, plus innovative buying schemes to ease cash flow burdens on first-time car buyers, allowing people who could barely afford a new car now well and able to buy entry-level vehicles.
