Man arrested, man sought after stolen trucks recovered - The Times and Democrat
Two stolen trucks and the vehicle used to steal them have been recovered following an investigation, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said the trucks were stolen from two St. Matthews Road dealerships on two separate occasions last month. Bond was set on Till Wednesday at $35,000. During the bond hearing, Gibbes Ford President and CEO George Gibbes said “I think it’s time we send a message to these thugs. Warrants have been obtained on the Summerville man for two counts of grand larceny over $10,000. The first vehicle stolen was a silver 2015 Dodge Ram truck. The staff at Orangeburg Chrysler reported the $30,000 vehicle stolen after an inventory indicated it was missing on April 8. On April 26, Gibbes Ford called the Sheriff’s Office after a 2015 Ford F-250 4x4 crew cab truck worth $60,000 went missing. Security video in each case showed a white Ford F-350 involved in the thefts. According to the warrants, Johnson is believed to have driven the white Ford F-350 to steal the trucks while Till stored the Ford on his property.
