Interstate 71 truck crash kills Columbus man - Mansfield News Journal
Moorer was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Ashland post. The crash happened at 6:20 a. m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71 near milepost 185, just south of U. S. 250. Moorer was heading north on I-71 in the center lane in a 1996 Ford F-350 box truck. Moorer moved into the right lane, into the path of Morris, troopers said. The tractor-trailer then struck Moorer's vehicle, sending it off the right side of I-71, where it overturned, troopers said. Assisting at the scene were Ashland Fire and EMS, the Ashland County Coroner's Office, the Ashland County Sheriff's Office and the highway patrol's reconstruction unit.
