Richard Lee Weter, 74, of Evansville, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Monroe Manor, Monroe, WI, with his wife, Emma, at his side. 11, 1940, in Harvard, IL, to Gordon B. and Birdena L. (Welbon) Weter and spending much of his childhood on a farm in Hebron, IL. belonging to his grandfather and grandmother Weter. He was a graduate of the new Walworth High School in 1959, as the first graduating class. He married his sweetheart, Emma J. (Susong) Weter, on Sept. 8, 1966, in Hebron, IL, which was attended by his lifelong friend, Joseph Susong and sister-in-law, Janey (Susong) Valentine. , with a specialty as a vehicle mechanic and was an expert rifleman stationed in San Antonio, TX. Richard returned to Elkorn, WI, with his bride, Emma, where he worked as a mechanic for the Clifford Ford dealership of Janesville. They remained there for 27 years until they both retired in 2004, to their farm in Footville, WI. in which they enjoyed many years of hobby farming. He was a member of the New Horizon United Methodist Church of Orfordville, WI. He belonged to the VFW, American Legion, and Moose Club. a brother, David F.
