Chevy takes the wraps off Colorado cab chassis model - Fox News

A box delete, cab chassis version of the truck was unveiled today at the National Truck Equipment Association Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, offering customers the only blank slate currently available in the midsize segment. Based on the 2WD extended cab short bed version of the Colorado, the package comes with a 305 hp V6, six-speed automatic transmission and a 2,200 payload rating ready for custom commercial or camper bodies. The EPA highway fuel economy rating takes a hit, dropping from 26 mpg to 17 mpg, due to the compromised aerodynamics of the cab chassis configuration, but can be improved depending on the type of body installed. Buyers get a $300 credit for the option compared to similarly-equipped full body Colorados, and the starting price is approximately $23,000, according to Chevrolet. Source: www.foxnews.com
